CBSE 10th Mathematics Examinations 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has commenced the CBSE class 10 examinations on February 17, 2026. This year, the board began the exams with Mathematics. The board conducted the Mathematics Exam for both Standard and Basic levels. 

After the exams concluded, students gave mixed reviews and reactions. While some were confident of the difficulty level of the exams, others were seen coming out crying due to the difficulty level. Social media saw immediate reactions from concerned students, teachers and parents.

 While a majority of them complained of the difficulty level of the CBSE Class 10 Mathematics Exam, others were seen countering the argument, stating that the questions were direct and from the NCERT. Some have claimed that the examination was extremely difficult and lengthy.

As per experts, the CBSE board class 10 Basic Maths section was moderate in terms of difficulty level, while the MCQ section was lengthy. The CBSE Class 10 Maths standard section was time-consuming.

Taking to social media, one user questions the difficulty level of the exam being intentional so that more students will need to appear for the second board examination. One user expressed concern about the Mathematics Board Exam 2026. Despite studying day and night from NCERT and ML Aggarwal and following the CBSE syllabus, the paper was extremely difficult and similar to JEE level, the user added.

Another mentioned that all the trigonometry questions asked were from the NCERT. Although out of the four 5-mark questions, three were extremely new and quite difficult to solve.

According to reports, students and parents are demanding a re-exam or grace marks, with leniency in checking on attempted questions from the board. An official statement is yet to be made by board officials.
