JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 Important Dates

JEE Main 2026 results are released in percentile form after normalisation, so the same marks may lead to different percentiles in different shifts. Based on past trends, candidates can use the expected marks vs percentile range to estimate their performance before the official result declaration; however, the actual percentile may vary based on the difficulty level of the shift and overall performance of candidates.

1. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2026.

Since JEE Main is conducted in multiple shifts with varying difficulty levels, NTA follows a scientific normalisation method to ensure fairness among all candidates. This process ensures that no candidate is disadvantaged due to a tougher or easier paper.

• The Coaching Federation of India (CFI) has flagged issues with 17 questions.

• The CFI specifically demanded bonus marks for 10 questions due to errors like ambiguous wording, calculation mistakes, or multiple correct options.

Re-evaluation/Re-checking: The National Testing Agency (NTA) strictly prohibits any re-evaluation or re-checking of the JEE Mains 2026 results. Only challenges against the provisional answer key are permitted, and objections regarding marks will not be accepted after this challenge window.

Result Cancellation: The NTA reserves the right to cancel the results of candidates found to be involved in the following Unfair Means Practices (UFM):

• Appearing at a test center that was not allotted to them.

• Allowing or engaging in impersonation.

• Appearing in the same session more than once.

• Any other UFM practices.

• Admission will be based on a combination of submitted choices and the candidate's All India Rank (AIR) from the JEE (Mains) - 2026 examination.

• The Seat Allocation Process will determine the seat allocation mechanism.

• The Seat Allocation Process will be managed and overseen by either the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) or the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

1. The scorecard serves as the official document for determining eligibility for the JEE Advanced examination.
2. The Final NTA Score is calculated by considering the better of the two session scores (Session 1 and Session 2) in accordance with the NTA's normalization process.
3. Candidates must meet the Category-wise Cutoff NTA Score to be eligible to register for JEE Advanced.

5. The result is final, and there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking as per NTA policy.
