2. Chris Gayle (117 runs)

The "Universe Boss" set the stage in the very first T20 World Cup match in 2007. Playing against South Africa, Gayle scored a brilliant 117 runs. He was the first player to hit a century in this tournament. He cleared the boundary ten times during this knock.
