The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has extended the last date of the application form for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026. JTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the JTET must fulfill certain eligibility criteria. These are given below:

1. Qualifications The candidates who have passed the intermediate examination with 50% aggregate marks can only apply for the JTET 2026 exam. Candidates with a 2-year diploma in elementary education or 4-year bachelor's degree in elementary education also are eligible to apply. 

JTET 2026 Application Fee

The application fee for primary and upper primary classes varies according to the candidate category. Candidates belonging to the ST, SC, and PwBD categories are required to pay Rs 700 for either primary or upper primary classes, while the fee for applying to both categories is Rs  800. For candidates from the General, EWS, and BC categories, the fee is Rs  1300 for a single category and Rs. 1500 for both categories together. Meanwhile, candidates from the Primitive Tribe category need to pay Rs. 500 for either primary or upper primary classes and Rs. 600 for both categories combined.
