Revise High-Value Topics Not the Entire Syllabus

Practise Mock Tests to Fix Speed and Accuracy

With last few days remaining for the exam, mock tests should be used to improve your exam approach, not simply to collect scores in exam. Candidates can follow this simple routine:-

  • Attempt one full-length mock test daily or on alternate days.

  • Nalyse every incorrect answer that you marked after the tests
  • Note in which questions you took too much time.
  • Revise the concept behind repeated mistakes that are made.
  • Practise short sectional tests for your weaker area.
  • Do not repeatedly attempt questions that you already know you cannot solve quickly.

Candidates are advised to maintain a balance between speed and accuracy. A high number of attempts is useful only when accuracy is maintained.

Follow A Simple Plan Before October 11

Candidates should keep the final two days before the exam relatively light. The aim is to enter the exam witha clear mind rather than feeling exhausted. Given below is a simple plan that the candidates can follow before the exam:-

Day

Focus

October 7-8

Take full mock test, conduct analysis and revise weak topics

October 9

Section-wise revision is important and do solve short practice sets.

October 10

Light revision of formulas, rules and selected questions.

October 11

On Exam day, stay calms and follow your strategy in the exam

Candidates are alo advised to check their admit card, exam centre, reporting time and required documents in advance to avoid any last minute hassle. IBPS had released the CS-XVI Preliminary Exam Call Letter on October 1, 2026. Avoid studying late into the night before the exam. Get adequate sleep and do not experiment with a completely new strategy on the exam day.

Candidates should remember that the last few days are for polishing your preparation, not rebuilding it. Revise what you know, practise with a timer, analyse your mistakes and enter the exam with a realistic attempt strategy.
