KEA VAO Exam Pattern 2026

  • The exam is offline (OMR-based), with objective questions having four options each, in Kannada and English.  

  • Paper 1 is General Knowledge: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. 

  • Paper 2 covers General Kannada, General English and Computer Knowledge: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours.  

  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.  

  • A separate Compulsory Kannada Test carries 150 marks, is qualifying only, and needs a minimum of 50 marks.
