UP Home Guard Exam Analysis 2026 LIVE: Shift-Wise Review, Good Attempts & Expected Cut off

The UP Home Guard recruitment drive aims to fill more than 41,000 vacancies across the state. Due to the large number of applicants, the exam is being conducted across multiple districts and centres. This makes it one of the major state-level recruitment exams of 2026, attracting significant competition among candidates.

The written examination is being conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. Candidates must carefully fill in their answers using a blue or black ballpoint pen as instructed. Any overwriting or incorrect marking may lead to rejection of answers. The paper consists of objective-type questions, and candidates are advised to follow OMR guidelines strictly.

As per the media report, the frequency of Roadways bus services is being increased during the examination period. Buses will make 80 additional trips on the Jaunpur, Banaras, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Banda, and Mirzapur routes. Officials and staff members have been assigned duties at the bus terminal.

It is estimated that around 84,000 candidates are going to appear for the UP Home Guard exam 2026 in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh.

As per some media reports, one Sector Magistrate and one Static Magistrate have been deployed at each examination center to ensure proper supervision. The examination at Prayagraj district is being conducted at 37 centres.

The UP Home Guard Exam 2026 is all set to begin today, April 25, with the first shift scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Candidates are advised to reach their respective exam centres well in advance to complete frisking and verification procedures. As per guidelines, late entry will not be allowed once the gates are closed. The exam is being conducted in offline OMR mode across multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh, ensuring a large-scale, well-coordinated recruitment process.

Candidates are advised to carry only essential items such as admit card, ID proof, and permitted stationery. Electronic devices like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and Bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Any candidate found violating these rules may face disqualification.

Candidates appearing for the UP Home Guard exam must strictly follow reporting time mentioned on their admit card. It is advised to reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before the exam begins to avoid last-minute hassle. Entry will not be permitted after the gate closing time under any circumstances. Early arrival will also help candidates settle down and avoid unnecessary stress before the exam.

Candidates must carry a printed copy of their UP Home Guard Admit Card along with a valid photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID. Without these documents, entry into the examination hall will not be allowed. Candidates are also advised to verify all details mentioned on their admit card before leaving for the exam centre to avoid discrepancies.
