CAT Form Correction 2026: Important Dates, How to Make Edits, Editable Fields

Last date to register for CAT exam 2026 is September 15, 2026. Candidates should fill the application form now and complete the registration process as soon as possible. IIM Indore will announce the CAT form correction dates 2026 soon after the registration process ends. It is expected to be opened in the last week of September 2026. To make corrections, candidates will require their CAT ID and password.

CAT Application Form Correction 2026

CAT application form correction window is a limited period when the candidates who have registered for the exam will be able to make corrections in the fields which have errors. Having said that, the corrections can be made only to a few limited field of the form. Candidates cannot refill the entire form during this window.

Which Fields Can Be Edited in CAT Form Correction 2026 Window?

The complete information about which fields will be editable during the CAT form correction window will be mentioned in the detailed notification at IIM CAT website. As per the last year trends, candidates are allowed to edit only three details filled in the CAT exam form, i.e. candidate’s photograph, signatures and test city preferences.
Personal details such as name, email ID, mobile number, date of birth, etc., are locked and completely uneditable. Check the table below to know which fields will be editable and which will be uneditable:

How to Edit CAT 2026 Application Form?

Candidates should note that they can make corrections in the application form only once. Follow the process mentioned below to know how to make corrections in the CAT exam 2026 application form:

• Go to the official website of IIM CAT, i.e. iimcat.ac.in
• Click on Candidate Login
• Login using the CAT ID and password
• Click on the CAT application form and on the form correction option
• Make the changes to the editable fields and review
• Click on the declaration checkbox and submit the form finally.
• Save the copy of the CAT form for future reference

What After CAT Form Correction?

After making the corrections in the CAT exam form, candidates should download the updated copy of the form and take a printout. The form will be locked once it has been submitted after corrections.
After the form correction and registration process, exam conducting authority, IIM Indore will release the CAT admit card. The information will be based on the details filled in the final CAT application form. The admit card for CAT 2026 exam will be released on November 4, 2026.
