The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 50% bus fare concession for students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. Candidates must present their admit cards to avail of this transport relief, which is part of the state's broader effort to facilitate travel and ensure smooth exam conduct across 59 districts.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced a 50 per cent concession in state-run bus fares for NEET candidates. He reviewed arrangements for the -NEET examination scheduled on June 21. Around Lakhs of NEET candidates are expected to appear for the test. The test will be in 59 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister announced that NEET candidates would get 50 per cent concession on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus fares.

He was holding a high-level review meeting via video conferencing on law and order. The meeting also covered festivals, NEET preparations and International Yoga Day arrangements. He directed district administrations and police authorities to establish advance coordination with stakeholders. This is to ensure that law and order is maintained in every district.

They need to show their admit cards to avail this service. He directed district administrations to provide accommodation facilities. This is for candidates travelling to districts for the examination. They should not lack lodging arrangements. The Chief Minister emphasised the need to maintain the sanctity and transparency of the examination process. He instructed officials to adhere to guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency, NTA.

Two-Layer Security for NEET UG Re-Test Question Papers

The education ministry is taking some serious precautions to make sure the question papers are safe. They've activated a two-layer security system - involving the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) - and the IAF is helping out by flying the papers to test locations, which is cutting down delivery time in half. And in addition to that, the CRPF and CISF, along with the state police, will be escorting & guarding the papers from June 11 right on up until the evening of the test on June 21 . What's more, CAPF officers will also be on the IAF planes during transport.

Exam Monitoring and International Yoga Day Preparations

He called for monitoring of social media platforms. Swift action should be against rumours, misinformation and misleading content related to the examination. The CM Yogi Adityanath also reviewed preparations for International Yoga Day on June 21. Yoga is a means of promoting physical and mental well-being mentioning yoga has gained recognition. This is due to the efforts of PM Narendra Modi. This year's theme is "Yoga for Healthy Aging". He directed officials to ensure telecast of the Prime Ministers programme across Uttar Pradesh.
