The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) published an official notice, dated February 19, 2026, on the allotment of seats under the NRI category. The Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates for the NEET PG 2025 counselling stray vacancy round allotment will be done via a priority system.
This system allots priority 1 to NRI Candidates and their children, whereas Priority 2 will be allotted to candidates who are First-degree relatives of NRI wards, followed by Second-degree relatives of NRI wards. The notice involving annexure of the list of eligible candidates is provisional and is subject to change as well.
The notice states, “The allotment process will be carried out in sequential order, giving preference to Priority 1 candidates first, followed by Priority 2 candidates, subject to seat availability.”

To seek admission through the NRI quota, candidates must present original documents (proof of NRI status, relationship certificates, etc.) at the time of institute reporting at the allotted medical college. Failure to produce the documents on time can lead to cancellation of admission.
MCC released the list of the candidates found to be eligible for filling NRI choices after due scrutinization by the committee as provided by the candidates. The list is provisional and Candidates are advised to ensure that all required original documents (proof of NRI status, relationship certificates, etc.) are submitted correctly at the time of reporting at the allotted medical college and in case there is deficiency of documents, the college can cancel the seat allotment.
If the list of eligible candidates get an NRI seat, they must show the original documents when they report. Failure to submit documents will cause cancellation of admission.
