The EMRS Tier 2 Exam 2026 was conducted to assess candidates at a deeper level than Tier 1. This exam focused on subject knowledge. It is also focused on the ability to write clear, well-structured, and meaningful answers in the descriptive section. Tier 2 plays a direct role in the final merit list.

• The exam was held for candidates shortlisted from Tier 1 in a 1:10 ratio

• The total exam duration was 3 hours

• The paper consisted of 55 questions for 100 marks

• The objective section included 40 questions for 40 marks

• The descriptive section carried 60 marks with 15 questions

• The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of Tier 2 marks

As per the official notice avaible on the CBSE website, the EMRS Tier 2 result will be relased in phase-wise manner by the mid of August 2026. In the notice it is also mentioned that the evalution of descriptive answer sheet is at advanced stage. 

The EMRS closed the objection window on May 17, 2026. It gave test-takers a chance to formally challenge any answer they believed was incorrect. The final result will be prepared only after subject experts review every valid challenge. If you submitted an objection, its outcome will be reflected in the final answer key, which is expected to be published alongside or just before the result itself.

The Eklavya Model Resident School (EMRS) released the EMRS Tier 2 provisional answer key on May 13. The candidates could download the answer key after logging in through their login ID and password. The answer key helps candidates compare their answers with the official responses and calculate their expected scores. It also gives an idea about their chances of qualifying for the next stage of the recruitment process.
