UPSC CMS Age Limit 2026

The age limit is an important part of the UPSC CMS eligibility criteria. Applicants must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August, 2026, to be eligible. It means the individual must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1994 when applying for the role. But the upper age limit must not exceed 35 years as on 1st August, 2026, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service.

(a) a Citizen of India, or 

(b) a subject of Nepal, or 

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or 

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
