UGC NET Re-Exam 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a travel advisory for the candidates who are going to appear for the UGC NET re-exam on 09 & 10 September 2026. The exam is going to be conducted for the remaining three subjects including English, Commerce, and Sociology. The travel advisory has been issued by the NTA in lieu of the travel restrictions in place on 09-10 September ahead of the BRICS Summit. Therefore, the candidates are advised to plan their travel accordingly and in advance as the routes may take longer than usual.
UGC NET Re-Exam 2026 Highlights
The UGC NET June session was conducted on 22 June to 30 June for a total of 87 subjects for which the results were announced on 28 August for only 84 subjects excluding the three subjects for which the exam is rescheduled for 09 & 10 September 2026.

NTA Releases Travel Advisory for UGC NET Re-Exam 2026
The NTA has issued an important travel advisory ahead of the UGC NET re-exam which is going to be conducted on 09 and 10 September for English, Commerce, and Sociology subjects. The NTA has stated “With travel restrictions in the city on 9th and 10th September, roads may take longer than usual. Check your route today, start early, and give yourself extra time to reach your centre.” This is due to the 18th BRICS Summit which is scheduled for 12-13 September 2026 and the travel restrictions are in place.

UGC NET Re-Exam 2026 Shift Timings
The UGC NET re-exam will be conducted on 09 & 10 September 2026. The English and Commerce exam will be conducted on 09 September in two shifts and Sociology exam will be held on 10 September in a single shift.
