As of today there is no nationwide school holiday in India. However, for school holidays tomorrow, February 9, 2026, schools may see occasional closures due to specific regional factors like state board exams, central board exams, or extreme weather.

Across the country, school tomorrow, on Monday, February 9, 2026, will be functioning as a normal working day, as there is no scheduled regional or gazetted school holiday for tomorrow.

Jharkhand School Update

Schools in the state are functioning normally, with the exception of tomorrow, as Class 10 (Matric) students will be appearing for the science exam. 

To accommodate the exam center and adjust with the board timings, students who don’t have board exams may check for ‘study leave’ for tomorrow. 

Bihar School Update

Bihar Board (BSEB) is conducting Class 12 (Intermediate) exams, which commenced on February 2, 2026. 

There is a possibility for Classes 1-9 to be observing school closures or changes in school timings in schools that are marked as official BSEB exam centers. Students are suggested to check with their schools for related updates.

Karnataka School Update

At present schools in Karnataka are conducting SSLC exams. All the remaining classes are functioning on usual timings. 

Students appearing for the high school exams are suggested to stay updated through the official exam date sheet for in-between gaps and exam schedules. 

Chhattisgarh and Assam School Status

There are no school holidays or any gazetted or state vacations planned for February 9. Students and parents are advised to check for local updates for any planned board exam holidays in these states.
