What is a JEE Main College Predictor? How does it work?

A JEE Main College Predictor is a tool that helps you figure out which colleges you can get into. It looks at your JEE Main exam results. Compare them to a lot of data from past years. This way you do not have to look through thousands of pages of cutoff ranks. The JEE Main College Predictor is like a guide that helps you make a list of JEE Main colleges that you can get into. The JEE Main College Predictor tool takes the information you give it. Tells you which colleges are a good fit for you.

The JEE Main College Predictor shows you three kinds of colleges:

  1. Safe Options: these are colleges that you have a high chance of getting into.
  2. Target Options: these are colleges that're a little harder to get into but you can still get in if you work hard.
  3. Dream Options: these are colleges that're really hard to get into but you might get in if some spots open up later.

After using the predictor to shortlist your target campuses, you must participate in centralized counseling to lock in your choices. JoSAA manages standard seat allocation for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, while CSAB conducts special spot rounds afterward to fill remaining vacancies in the NIT+ system, providing a valuable opportunity for mid-rank students to secure elite institutions.
