JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Live: Check Admit Card, NTA Guidelines, Exam Dates and Time

The NTA has made the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 admit card download link available on the official website. The NTA is expected to issue the JEE Main 2026 session 2 admit card for the April 5 to 8, 2026 exam today, April 1, 2026. The JEE Main admit card download link will be activated on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

NTA strictly prohibits electronic gadgets phones, smartwatches, calculators and unauthorized material. Candidates must arrive on time; late entry is forbidden. Avoid applying anything like mehendi to fingers that could obstruct biometric scanning. Do not wear heavy jewelry, caps, sunglasses, or metallic clothing. Any form of unfair means or rule violation will result in immediate disqualification and severe action.

For JEE Main 2026 Session 2, candidates must bring their printed Hall Ticket/Admit Card and original photo ID. Arrive at the center one hour before the reporting time for mandatory security checks and biometric verification (fingerprint and photo). Wear simple clothing, avoid heavy accessories, and fully cooperate with all staff and instructions. Check the center location a day prior and read all admit card instructions carefully.

Many students face HTTP Error 503 (Service Unavailable) while downloading the hall ticket from the National Testing Agency, NTA's website. This usually happens due to heavy traffic on the server.

1. Wait and Try Again Later: Error 503 is mostly temporary and caused by server overload. Try again after some time instead of repeatedly clicking.
2. Use Non-Peak Hours: Access the website early morning, late night, or afternoon when traffic is low.
3. Refresh or Reload the Page: Sometimes simply refreshing the page can resolve the issue. 
4. Clear Browser Cache & Cookies: Old cache files can cause loading problems once clear them and try again.
5. Switch Browser or Use Incognito Mode: Try different browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. Incognito mode can help avoid stored errors.
6. Check Internet Connection: Slow or unstable internet may also trigger loading issues. 
7. Contact NTA Helpline (If Issue Persists): If the problem continues for a long time, contact NTA through a helpline or email for assistance.

To ensure fairness and prevent impersonation in the JEE Mains exam, the National Testing Agency conducts biometric verification. Before entering the hall, students must undergo fingerprint and photograph scanning, matching the registration data. Clean fingers, free of ink, mehendi, or cuts, are essential for successful scanning. Students may also be required to sign an attendance sheet. Biometric verification is mandatory to appear for the exam.

The marking scheme are as follows:

+4 marks for each correct answer

-1 mark for each incorrect response

Candidates should carry:

• Admit card
• Valid photo ID
• Passport-size photograph (if required)

What to Wear

• Plain T-shirt or half-sleeve shirt
• Simple jeans or trousers
• Lightweight and comfortable clothes
• Slippers or sandals with thin soles

What to Avoid

• Clothes with metal zippers, buttons, or studs
• Caps, mufflers, scarves, or headgear
• Belts with metal buckles
• Shoes with thick soles
• Watches, rings, chains, bracelets, or any jewellery
• Sunglasses or goggles

The JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 examination will be conducted across two  shifts daily, accommodating the large number of candidates. The morning shift is scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following this, the afternoon session will commence from 3:00 PM and conclude at 6:00 PM.

Candidates must carefully check their specific shift time and reporting time mentioned on their official Admit Card and plan to arrive well in advance to complete all mandatory pre-exam procedures like biometric verification.

Candidates are advised to bring their important documents on the day of JEE Main 2026 exam, such as: admit card as its a mandatory document for your exam, a valid ID proof, and a photograph, if required.

• Enter your application number and password/date of birth
• Click on the Submit/Login button
• Your hall ticket will appear on the screen
• Download the admit card and take a clear printout for exam day

The National Testing Agency has made the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Mains) 2026 session 2 admit card download link available on the official website. 

Only 2.5 lakh candidates, who have qualified JEE Mains 2026, will have an opportunity to appear for JEE Advanced, a gateway for admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

The NTA has scheduled the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 exams on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, 2026, and the BArch and BPlanning examination on April 7. The exam conducting authority has already issued the city slip on March 21 and is expected to release the admit card soon.
