The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for the  Specialist Officer (SO) 2026 for over 700 vacancies. The online application process started on July 1, 2026 and will close on July 21, 2026. Candidates will have to apply through the official website of the Institute. The Institute is expected to conduct the prelims exam for the specialist officer in August 2026. The prelims exam will then be followed by the Mains exam and the interview. The Institute will fill more than 700 vacancies for the participating banks through this exam.  Candidates are advised to visit the official website, i.e., ibps.in, for any latest information or updates regarding the recruitment.

The registration for the IBPS SO posts is ongoing and will close on July 21, 2026. Candidates can apply online on the official website of IBPS by following these simple steps:-

• Go to the official website of the IBPS, i.e., ibps.in.
• Under the CRP SPL tab, look for the CRP SPL XVI Specialists Officer (SO) notification, and click on it. 
• Once the screen opens, scroll down and click on the apply online for CRP Specialist Officers link, and it will take the candidate to the online registration page.
• Click on the tab named Click here for new registration to register and enter the basic required information in the application form. 
• Once all the information has been entered and the payment has been made, click on submit and download the application PDF for future use.
