17yo Aarav Chose the Path Less Travelled, Student Turned Founder Shares AAVO Success Story
17-year-old Aarav Danani founded AAVO, a platform connecting users with real-world activities, challenging traditional success paths. He balanced student life with building a legally registered company, proving that learning extends beyond the classroom.
Are the lessons learned from entrepreneurship more than what you can learn in your classroom?
Aarav Danani, Founder of AAVO, has the most interesting approach to answering this question.
In the present-day scenario, where most 17-year-olds in India follow the traditional script of success, i.e. studying hard to score well in exams, earning the best degree, and getting a decent job, Aarav was developing curiosity about something else.
Aarav saw the huge landscape of experience-driven activities such as fitness workshops, cultural events, adventure programs, and community gatherings in India, but also understood the gap between existence and awareness of such activities.
This observation sparked his curiosity, and he asked, "Has convenience made us better at consuming the world than actually experiencing it?"
The question marked the onset of AAVO. A platform developed to help discover real-world activities in one place by collaborating with digital creators and organisers of community-led physical activities, to encourage learning, real connections, and cultural awareness.
Balancing his student life while building the company wasn't easy. But he remained consistent and learned his way through every challenge. From analysing and learning user sentiments to upgrading his products, he gained the knowledge to build a purpose-driven company from the ground up.
Aarav became one of India's youngest founders to run a legally registered company. He spreads his message, "You Do Not Have to Wait Until You Feel Completely Ready", across higher educational institutes, startup events, and leadership forums.
The story of AAVO is not limited to being that of a young entrepreneur. It has a unique perspective to it. It is how a curious teenager from India and his willingness to learn beyond classroom experiences have crafted a whole new world of opportunities for him.
It is a testament to every teenager out there waiting for the most appropriate moment to begin their entrepreneurial journey. Because sometimes, instead of waiting for the perfect moment, it's better to start and learn on the way.
