CTET Cut Off 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the CTET results on its official website-ctet.nic.in on 30 March. Candidates who have appeared for the CTET 2026 can check their results. CBSE has also released the CTET cut off marks along with the results which are the minimum qualifying marks required by the candidates to pass the examination.
The CTET 2026 was conducted on 07-08 February, and the results were published on 30 March. Candidates who secure the CTET Cut off marks will be eligible to obtain the CTET certificate. These qualifying marks are determined by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and vary across different categories.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level examination conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Central Government schools for classes 1 to 8. The exam is conducted twice a year in offline mode.
CTET Cut Off 2026
The CTET examination is qualifying in nature; candidates are required to secure the minimum qualifying marks equal to or greater than the CTET cut off in order to obtain the CTET certificate. The CTET cut off depends on various factors such as the difficulty level of the paper and the number of candidates appearing for the examination.
CTET Qualifying Marks Percentage 2026
The CTET qualifying marks are the minimum scores which vary according to the category of the candidates. Candidates belonging to the UR (Unreserved) category are required to secure a minimum of 60 percent marks, whereas candidates from reserved categories need to secure 55 percent marks to pass the examination.

CTET Cut Off 2026 for General (GEN) Category
According to the minimum passing marks criteria, the CTET cut off for the General category is 90 out of 150, which means that the candidate needs to obtain 60% marks. Candidates securing 90 marks or more will qualify the exam.
CTET Cut Off 2026 for OBC Category
Candidates who belongs to reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, etc. are required to secure at least 55 percent marks in the examination to become eligible for a teaching position. This means that the CTET passing marks for OBC, SC, and ST categories are 82 out of 150.
CTET Qualifying Marks 2026 for Gen, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD Categories
The CTET qualifying marks are notified by the CBSE alongside the official CTET notification. Candidates belonging to the General category are considered qualified in the CTET examination if they secure more than 60% marks in the written test. Conversely, for candidates belonging to reserved categories, the CTET qualifying mark is set at 55%. The CTET examination (comprising Paper 1 and Paper 2) is conducted for a maximum of 150 marks for each paper. Candidates who secure the qualifying marks in the CTET examination are awarded a certificate that remains valid for a lifetime. Refer to the table below for the category-wise CTET qualifying marks.
