Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Coal India Limited (CIL) is commencing the online application process for 660 Management Trainee posts from 12 May 2026 onwards. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts  on or before 11 June 2026. Candidates who want to apply must have a relevant degree with a minimum 60% marks and be under 30 years of age. Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

To apply, interested candidates should meet the given eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria given below before submitting the online application.

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a relevant full-time engineering degree with minimum qualifying marks

  • The degree must be from a recognised university or institute approved by the appropriate statutory authority in India

  • Minimum 60% marks required for General, OBC, and EWS candidates

  • Minimum 55% marks required for SC/ST candidates

2. Age Limit

  • The Maximum age limit for General and EWS candidates is 30 years

3. Age Relaxation

Eligible candidates from reserved categories are given some relaxation in the age limit as per government rules. 

  • OBC candidates: 3 years 

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years 

  • PwBD candidates: 10 years

Coal India MT Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection process is divided into three rounds: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Document Verification, and Medical Test. Candidates need to pass all three rounds to become Management Trainees in Coal India Limited. Interested ones can check the full selection process before applying.

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

The Selection will be based only on the marks scored in the Computer-Based Test. There will be no personal interview taken.

Stage 2: Document Verification

  • Short-listed candidates will be called for document verification.

  • Original documents will be required in this process.

  • Documents include the candidate’s age proof, educational certificates, category certificate, and Aadhaar card.

  • If there is any discrepancy in the documents, they shall stand cancelled.

Stage 3: Medical Test

  • After the selection process, the trainees shall undergo a year of training, after which they will be officially designated as Officers.

  • Physical fitness is essential, according to the medical attendance guidelines of the Company available at the official website.
