SSC Exam Eligibility

SSC exam eligibility includes three main parameters: Nationality, Age Limit and Educational Qualification. The nationality criteria for all SSC exams remains same, unlike age limit and qualification. The basic requirements are as follows:

SSC Educational Qualification

The educational qualification requirements for SSC exams vary depending on the post and the level of the exam. For SSC CGL, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Class 12th passing certificate is required for SSC CHSL, while the SSC MTS exam is open to candidates who have completed Class 10.

SSC Age Limit

candidates must also meet the age criteria, which generally ranges between 18 and 30 years. However, age relaxations are provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

How to Apply for SSC Exams 2026

Candidates can apply for SSC exams online through the official website at ssc.gov.in. 

  1. Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in

  2. Go to Apply Online tab available on SSC homepage

  3. If you are a new user, register with basic details.

  4. Fill in the application form

  5. Upload scanned photo and signature

  6. Pay the application fee online

  7. Submit and download the confirmation page for future reference.

SSC Admit Card 2026

SSC Admit Card is released 4 days before the exam. Candidates can download it using their registration number and password/date of birth. The admit card contains exam date, time, and exam centre details.

How to Download SSC Admit Card at ssc.gov.in?

  • Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in

  • Go to ‘Admit Card’ tab and click on the admit card download link

  • Enter your registration number and password

  • Your admit card will appear on the screen

  • Download it and take a print out for future reference.

SSC Result & Cut-Off

SSC releases results in PDF format on its website. Candidates can check their result, marks, and cut-off for each tier after the conclusion of the exam. The cut-off varies every year depending on exam difficulty and the number of candidates.
