The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, has announced its admission schedule for the academic year 2027–28. The National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) 2027 will be conducted on April 25, 2027, for admission to the university’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours, three-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Honours, Master’s Programme in Public Policy (MPP) and PhD programmes.
According to the admission notification issued on October 9, 2026, the application forms for the programmes will be available on the university’s official website in November 2026. Candidates will be able to apply online and appear for the entrance examination at designated test centres across India. The academic session for the selected candidates is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2027.

NLSIU Admission 2027: Courses Offered Through NLSAT
NLSIU will offer admission to four categories of programmes through NLSAT 2027: the BA (Hons.) programme, three-year LLB (Hons.), Master’s Programme in Public Policy and PhD programmes.
1. BA (Hons.) Programme
The NLS BA (Hons.) is a three-year undergraduate programme with an option to pursue an additional fourth year through the research track. Its curriculum includes foundational courses, majors and minors, open electives, languages, practical courses and internships.
2. Three-Year LLB (Hons.) Programme
The three-year LLB (Hons.) is a postgraduate professional law degree open to graduates from different academic disciplines. It is designed for candidates seeking a professional qualification in law and a pathway towards legal practice.
3. Master's Programme in Public Policy (MPP)
NLSIU's Master’s Programme in Public Policy is a two-year postgraduate programme focusing on public policy, social sciences, governance and the role of law in policy-making.
4. PhD Programmes
NLSIU is also inviting applications for its doctoral programmes through the NLSAT 2027 admission process. The university offers PhD programmes in Law and in Social Sciences, Humanities and Public Policy.
