Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has raised serious concerns over the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy, questioning the credibility and accountability of India’s examination system. His remarks came amid ongoing investigations into alleged irregularities linked to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2026) conducted by the NTA.
Rahul Gandhi Questions Exam System
Taking to X, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the examination system is repeatedly failing and claimed that the paper leaks have become a recurring issue in major competitive examinations. He said that lakhs for students spend months preparing for these exams and any breach in the process severely impacts their future and trust in the system.

He also said that more than 22 lakh aspirants sacrificed their sleep and dedicated a whole year to prepare for this exam, only to have their hard work openly traded away in a single night. This catastrophic failure is part of a persistent, decade-long pattern. Over the last 10 years, the system has witnessed a staggering 89 paper leaks, forcing 48 re-exams. Each instance triggers the standard routine of administrative assurances, which ultimately fades into absolute silence.
NTA Responds to Allegations
The National Testing Agency has stated that the NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted under strict security arrangements. The agency said all allegations are currently being examined by central investigative agencies and appropriate action will be taken if any irregularity is confirmed.
Officials also reiterated their commitment to maintaining fairness and transparency in national-level entrance examinations.
