The National Medical Commission, NMC has asked all government colleges to help the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences with postgraduate and postdoctoral practical exams. The NMC issued an advisory to all government colleges and institutions asking them to cooperate with the NBEMS for smooth conduct of exams. The Commission said that the number of candidates appearing for exams has increased and it needs exam centers, infrastructure and experienced examiners.
However the Board is facing problems because some medical colleges do not have exam centers and some faculty members are not being allowed to work as examiners. The National Medical Commission has advised government colleges to support the NBEMS by providing what it needs to conduct exams. The colleges are asked to make sure they have the infrastructure, wards, laboratories and patients for exams and to make sure exams are conducted smoothly.
The National Medical Commission said that the NBEMS pays the exam centers for their expenses and also pays the examiners for their work. The Commission said that it is very important for medical colleges to cooperate with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences so that postgraduate medical education standards are maintained and exams are conducted on time.
The NMC asked all government colleges to take necessary action to help the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. The cooperation from colleges and faculty members is needed to ensure that exams are conducted smoothly.
