CUET UG 2026:- In a significant move for thousands of undergraduate aspirants, the National Testing Agency, NTA, has officially extended the deadline for photo verification for the Common University Entrance Test, CUET UG, 2026, through an official notification. Candidates who have encountered discrepancies in their application forms now have until April 16, 2026, to complete the mandatory verification process.
The extension comes after several students reported difficulties regarding photograph mismatches. These issues primarily affected candidates who registered using Aadhaar, DigiLocker, or other government-issued identification, where the uploaded photo did not align perfectly with the database record. To maintain the integrity of the examination process while ensuring no student is left behind due to technical glitches, the NTA has introduced this one-time facilitation measure.
CUET UG 2026:Mandatory Steps for Affected Candidates
Unlike previous years, where results stretched into May, the 2026 evaluation was fast-tracked. This is primarily due to the Second Phase of Board Exams scheduled to begin on May 15, 2026, allowing students a window to apply for score improvements.
The NTA has emphasised that this is a final opportunity. Failure to submit the verified certificate could lead to complications during the application screening process and may ultimately result in the candidate being disqualified from appearing in the CUET UG 2026 examination. Applicants are advised to complete the procedure immediately to avoid last-minute server traffic or technical delays.
