In a formal notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has directed all Centre Superintendents and School principals to review their submitted data on the OECMS portal. This decision is in response to concerns of inconsistencies in prior sessions, wherein schools gave inaccurate information about the number of staff members or students assigned, resulting in false claims in the Integrated Payment System, IPS.
The IPS, which facilitates the final payments to Examination Centres, relies entirely on automated data fetched from the OECMS. To prevent financial inaccuracies, schools must now verify critical metrics, including the number of functionaries deputed, candidate attendance, both present and absent, and the total number of examination rooms utilised during the 2026 session.
CBSE Result 2026: Deadlines for Data Rectification and Regional Office Consultation
Schools identifying any errors or missing entries must reach out to their respective Regional Offices by April 11, 2026, to initiate the correction process. The board has emphasised that all rectifications and missing data entries must be finalised in consultation with the regional authorities to maintain data integrity.
The entire exercise is strictly scheduled for completion by April 13, 2026. CBSE has made it clear that once the window closes, no further requests for data modification will be entertained. The launch of the IPS for final payments will commence immediately following the conclusion of the board exams, making this verification window the final opportunity for centres to ensure they receive the correct compensation for their administrative services.
