10th Class CBSE Result 2026 Declared, LOC Submission from April 16 – Board Issues Guidelines

CBSE LOC Submission Guidelines for Class 10 Second Board Examination have been issued. 10th Class CBSE Result 2027 for Main or February examination was released today - April 15, 2026. The guidelines and schedule for the second board has been summarised below.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has released the LOC Submission Schedule and Guidelines for the Class 10 Second Board Examination. The board today released 10th Class Results on the official website for February 2026 examination. In accordance with the two-board scheme, CBSE will now open the LOC Submission portal or list of candidates’ portal for schools to update.

LOC submission is necessary for students who wish to appear in the second board examination. While the preliminary list was already filled by the schools earlier, the portal has been reopened for the students to either submit or withdraw their names. The official notice is now available on cbse.gov.in. 10th Class CBSE Result 2026 link is now active and available on DigiLocker, and official website.

Important Instructions for 2nd Board LOC Submission

  1. Students who wish to appear but did not submit their names in the first phase of LOC submission may do so now. Examination fee needs to be paid now and submitted before the deadline to be eligible to appear for the second board examination.
  2. Candidates who have submitted their names but now do not wish to appear for the second board examination after checking their Class 10 results may withdraw their names from the LOC.
  3. Students have the option of changing their choice of subject of Mathematics – i.e., students who appeared for Mathematics Standard and now wish to appear for Mathematics Basic may do so – and vice versa. This is the only subject change that is allowed.
  4. Students may choose to appear for any of the three subjects – mathematics, social science and science and any one language. A student may appear for a maximum of three subjects in the second board examination.
  5. Students who have been placed in ER category are not eligible to appear for the second board examination and need to now appear for Class 10 Board Examination 2027.
  6. Students placed in Compartment Category may or may not appear in second board exam in May. They are also allowed to appear directly in the compartment examination, which will be conducted as per schedule in July. LOC for Compartment will be submitted directly by the Schools. 
  7. If a student submits the name for second examination but does not appear for the same, his performance in the main examination (February) examination will be considered as final and used for the declaration of final result. The student will not be marked absent.
  8. Syllabus for second examination and paper pattern will be the same as the main examination.

Date sheet for the second board examination will be published on the official website shortly. Tentatively, Class 10 2nd board exams for CBSE are scheduled to begin from May 5. Detailed schedule will be released on cbse.gov.in.
