The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to recruit 2,585 candidates for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, and Depot Material Superintendent.   • Male candidates appearing for the RRB JE exam should wear simple, comfortable, and non-flashy clothing. 

  • Choose plain trousers or jeans without chains, metal buttons, extra pockets, or heavy designs to avoid delays during frisking. 

  • Basic shirts or T-shirts with minimal prints are ideal, as comfort should be your top priority.

  • Avoid wearing belts with large or metallic buckles. It is better to come without a belt if possible. 

  • Caps, hats, and fashion accessories are not allowed and may lead to unnecessary checking.

  • Jewellery items such as rings, chains, bracelets, or any metal accessories should be completely avoided, even if you wear them daily.

  • Ensure that tjr pockets are empty and do not carry items like keys, wallets, coins, or loose objects. 

  • Wear simple footwear that can be easily removed during security verification. 

  • Keeping the hair neat and properly managed will also help prevent repeated checks by exam staff.

The following are the key guidelines for the RRB JE dress code for female candidates:

  • Women candidates should wear simple and comfortable clothing to allow for free movement and avoid any inconveniences during the check-up.

  • Avoid clothes that have heavy embroidery, metal work, or sequins, as these may require extra verification.

  • Plain tops, kurtis, or simple salwar suits with minimal designs are suggested for a smooth entry.

  • Hair clips, pins, or bands containing metal must also be avoided.

  • Do not carry handbags, purses, or wallets into the examination hall.

  • Simple sandals or slippers that can be easily removed are preferred. 

  • Makeup should be minimal, and candidates should avoid strong perfumes or heavy cosmetics.
