How to Prepare for RAS Prelims?

The RPSC RAS Prelims is the first stage towards success. This is just the qualifying stage, meaning, the candidates are being shortlisted based on the marks obtained in this stage. The Prelims exam consists of a single paper which includes General Knowledge and General Science subjects. Candidates can follow the following tips for curating a good preparation strategy for RPSC RAS Prelims:

  • Download the RPSC RAS Prelims Syllabus and start reading it thoroughly.

  • Check the topics and analyse where to start.

  • Prepare a study plan that will suit your timings and requirements.

  • Divide your study time-table into slots of either 2 hours or 3 hours.

  • Do not make it hectic or difficult to follow.

  • Initially, try to prepare a plan for 5-6 hours a day and then slowly increase the time.

  • After preparing the plan, look for the resources. The resources should be limited as it will be easy to revise.

  • Practise questions either from previous year papers or from freely available resources. The questions must be practised after revising each topic and then for a complete subject and finally for the complete paper.

RPSC RAS Mains Preparation

Aspirants should understand that there is no separate preparation for the Mains and Prelims. They should study in alignment with the Prelims and Mains syllabus. Ideally, it is suggested that the study plan should focus on the Mains syllabus which targets all the topics of the Prelims as well. The Mains syllabus is detailed in structure and caters to all the topics in detail. The preparation tips for Mains are as follows:
