Eligibility Criteria for NCERT Recruitment 2026
Candidates interested in applying for the announced vacancies must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility requirements, such as educational qualification and age limit. Candidates can check the details below
Educational Qualification
Professor: Must have a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied discipline with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed journals. A total research score of 120 is mandatory.
Associate Professor: A Ph.D. is essential, along with a master’s degree (55% marks) and 8 years of teaching/research experience.
Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks and must have cleared UGC NET/SLET/SET. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree (as per 2009/2016 regulations) may be exempted from NET.
Experience Requirements
Professor: 10 years of teaching or research experience in a University/College.
Associate Professor: 8 years of experience in an academic/research position.
Assistant Professor: No prior experience is mandatory for the entry level, provided the candidate meets the NET/Ph.D. criteria.
