The key accused were arrested by the CBI and produced in court. Investigation reveals that the accused had access to question papers and answer key on or before April 27, one week before the exams. The accused also conducted special classes for students where the questions were given along with answers.

NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak:  The Central Bureau of Investigation has undertaken the investigation process for the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case. So far, the CBI has arrested 9 accused in the paper leak scandal. The agency has revealed that the accused Manisha Waghmare, PV Kulkarni and others from the NTA had access to the NEET UG 2026 question papers on April 27, 2026. It must be noted that the NEET UG Examination was conducted on May 3, 2026, in a single session. 

The agency further revealed that the question paper and answer key, which were circulated in the last week before the exam, were destroyed by the accused on May 3, 2026, after the examination. 

CBI Issues Major Disclosure in the NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Case

Prime Accused Manisha Waghmare had access to all three question papers and answer keys on April 27, 2026. The same was circulated to the accused for money and destroyed on the day of the exam. CBI further reveals that more arrests will be made in the coming days. 

NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Nexus Exposed

According to the CBI, PV Kulkarni, who is the prime accused in the paper leak case, is also one of the experts who set the question paper for the exam. Manisha Waghmare, an official at the NTA, gained access to the question papers and answer keys, which were then distributed among several, one of whom was Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, a Senior Botany Teacher from Pune and also one of the members on the panel for setting the Botany Question paper.

The accused, after acquiring the question paper, distributed it further and also conducted special sessions and classes for students where these questions were discussed and even given for a sum of money. 

NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Latest Updates

As per media reports, one of the key accused, Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, a Senior Botany Teacher from Pune, has been arrested in Delhi after thorough interrogation by the CBI. The CBI brought the accused to the Rouse Avenue court to produce her before the CBI Judge.
