The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is conducting the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2026 for MBA and MCA admissions today, June 14, 2026. Thousands of candidates across the state are appearing for the entrance examination, which serves as a gateway to postgraduate management and computer application programmes offered by government and private institutions in Karnataka.
Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Timings
According to the official schedule, the MBA examination will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the MCA examination will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM on June 14. Candidates are advised to reach their examination centres well before the reporting time to complete security checks and verification procedures smoothly.
Karnataka PGCET 2026: Reporting Time and Entry Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the MBA paper are expected to be seated inside the examination hall by 10:00 AM, while those appearing for the MCA exam should complete entry formalities before the afternoon session begins. Late entry after the commencement of the examination will not be permitted under KEA guidelines.
Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Pattern
The Karnataka PGCET MBA paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each. The test duration is 120 minutes, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The examination assesses candidates on English language, general knowledge, analytical ability, logical reasoning, quantitative analysis, and computer awareness.
Documents Required at the Exam Centre
Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Karnataka PGCET 2026 Hall Ticket
- Original valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID)
- Recent passport-size photographs, if required
Electronic gadgets, smartwatches, calculators, and other prohibited items are not allowed inside the examination hall.
Exam Rescheduled to June 14
The MBA and MCA examinations were originally planned for May 24, 2026, but KEA later rescheduled them to June 14, 2026, to avoid a clash with the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination and to facilitate candidates appearing for both examinations.
