CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam 2026 will be conducted on July 28, 2026. Those who are eligible to appear for the exams must contact their schools to be included in the LOC. Private candidates can apply seperately through the link provided.

CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the date for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026. The board has also started the process for the submission of Class 12 LOC for the Supplementary Examination. Schools must visit the Pariksha Sangam portal on the official website of the board to submit the List of Candidates (LOC).

Students who have appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exam 2026 as regular students from CBSE-affiliated schools and whose result has been declared as compartment should approach the school from which they have appeared in the main examinations for sponsoring their names for supplementary examinations. It must also be noted that those wishing to improve their performance in 1 subject in Class 12 (Only for candidates who passed in the 2026 Main exams) can also appear for the supplementary exam. Schools must submit LOC for all the students placed in the Compartment category, even if they are unable to contact the students. Those whose names are not submitted will not be eligible to appear for the exam.

Who can Appear for CBSE 12th Supplementary Exams

The following is the category of candidates who can apply to appear in the Supplementary Examinations 2026

  • Compartment (1st chance) for candidates who appeared for the 1st time in Class 12 and their result is Compartment. 

  • Improvement of Performance (candidates passed after replacement of subject(s) in Main Examinations 2026). 

  • Improvement of Performance in 01 subject in class 12 who passed in the Main examinations 2026. 

  • Compartment (3rd chance) students (who appeared in class 12 for the 1st time in exam-2025) can appear only as private candidates. The schools will have to use their Affiliation Number as a user ID and the password already available with them for logging in to the system for submission of LOC.

CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam Fee and Schedule

Those appearing for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary exams need to submit the fee for the exam. The exam fee must be submitted via Credit/ Debit cards or via Net banking/ UPI facilities. The fee structure per subject is provided below.

 It must be noted that the consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to the students whose result was declared COMPARTMENT in Board's Examinations2026 and who will be declared Pass in Supplementary Examinations 2026. CBSE will be conducting the Class 12 Supplementary Examinations based on the Syllabus prescribed for the Board examinations for 2025-26. The dates for downloading the CBSE 12th Supplementary Admit Cards 2026 will be informed separately. In case of any discrepancy in the Admit card, schools should contact the concerned Regional Office of the Board immediately.
