MCC NEET MDS 2026 Round 2: Choice Locking Closes Tomorrow; Seat Allotment Result Out on September 23 at mcc.nic.in

The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC is closing the online choice locking process tomorrow, September 21, 2026, for Round 2 of the NEET MDS 2026 Counselling. Candidates seeking admission into Master of Dental Surgery, MDS courses under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, and AFMS institutes must review and lock their preferred college choices on the official website at mcc.nic.in. Following the conclusion of choice locking, MCC will process the seat allotment data and officially declare the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result on September 23, 2026.

Candidates who want to participate in Round 2 should complete the registration process before the deadline which is September 21, 2026, rather than waiting for the final hours. Registration is only one part of the counselling process, and candidates must subsequently complete choice filling and locking within the applicable window.

Steps to Complete Choice Locking

1. Visit the official website at mcc.nic.in. 
2. Select the "MDS Counselling" tab on the homepage.
3. Log in using your NEET MDS Roll Number and Password.
4. Access the choice filling dashboard and verify the saved order of preferences.
5. Click on the "Lock Choices" option, confirm with your OTP, and print the locked preferences summary sheet for your records.

The Medical Counselling Committee has published an updated seat position for Round 2 of the NEET MDS 2026 counselling, featuring 53 newly added PG dental seats. To assist candidates in revising their preferences, the MCC has released three distinct lists on its official website newly added seats, clear vacancies the seats that are completely unoccupied, and virtual vacancies seats held by candidates who may vacate them if upgraded to a higher choice. Verifying availability across their preferred institute, specialty, quota, and category—before finalizing and locking their choices.
