CBSE Class 12 Results 2026: Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Result has been declared. Students who are not happy with their marks have an option of seeking revaluation of their result. From this year, the process for revaluation has been revised, following the introduction of on-screen marking or OSM. As per the new process, there will be no verification of marks.

Please be informed that revaluation will still be conducted and board will soon release the schedule for the revaluation of the results. However, the three step process has now been reduced to a two step process.

CBSE Result Revaluation

Till last year, CBSE result revaluation was a three step process which included verification of marks, requesting for a photo-copy and revaluation of select questions. This year, however, CBSE has introduced on-screen marking, reducing the possibility of error in totalling, thus dispensing the need for first step. Now, the system automatically detects the marks assigned by the teachers and totals it.

Now, under the new process, when the window opens, students will be required to request for the photocopy. Once they get the photocopy of their answer sheets, they can then request for the revaluation of the questions they feel have not been marked correctly. In case a question has been incorrectly marked, students can also request for the revaluation.

Revised Revaluation Process

For class 12, the following steps have to be followed under the revised process.

  • Requesting for photocopy: Once the window opens online, students can request for the photocopy of their answer sheets. There is no limit on the number of subjects students can request the answer shete of. If a student has appeared for six subjects, he/she can apply for the photocopy of all the answer sheets. A fee per subject is charged by the board for the same.
  • Revaluation of Answers: Revaluation of answer is on a per question basis. Again, there is no limit on the number of questions a student can request the revaluation of. After receiving the photocopy of the answer shete, students can check their answers and the marks awarded. These can then be contested and a request made online regarding specific questions.

A fee on a per question basis is charged by the board. Students are advised to go through the notification once released carefully. CBSE will release the Class 12 result revaluation schedule later. Please note, CBSE Class 10 revaluation process will begin only after the second board results are declared this year. Also, there is no change in process for CBSE 10th result revaluation.
