Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has officially activated the Integrated Payment System, IPS, in an official notification to streamline the final payments for examination centres and functionaries involved in the 2026 board examinations. In the circular issued by Dr Sanyam Bhardwaij, Controller of Examinations, the board has directed all affiliated schools to complete the data entry by freezing the process on the dedicated  IPS Centre Final 2026 portal.

CBSE 2026: Revised Rates and Important Dates

The IPS portal has been updated to include revised rates for remuneration, conveyance, refreshments, and other related expenses applicable from the 2026 exam onwards. This digital system is designed to facilitate immediate payment processing following the completion of exam activities and the declaration of results.

As per the official schedule, schools must follow the given timelines in the notice:-

  • Data Entry and Freezing: From April 22, 2026, to May 6, 2026
  • Refreezing Window: In case of failed payment processing, a second window will be available from May 8 to May 15, 2026.

CBSE 2026: Instructions for School Principals

The board has emphasised the need for absolute accuracy during the data entry process. Principals are required to personally verify the bank account details of the school and individual functionaries before the final submission. Once the data is frozen, no further changes can be made except during the specific refreezing window.

The implementation of the IPS aims to eliminate bureaucratic delays and ensure that all teachers and staff members who assisted in the conduct of the Class 10 and 12 examinations receive their dues promptly. Strict adherence to the May 6 deadline is mandatory for all examination centres.
