The proposed Delhi-Siliguri bullet train corridor will reduce travel between northern and eastern India. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed corridor to the Railway Ministry. The proposed Delhi-Varanasi-Patna-Siliguri high speed rail corridor has reached an important stage. According to recent reports NHSRCL has submitted the DPR to the Railway Ministry. The proposed corridor will connect Delhi with Siliguri. The route will pass through major cities including Varanasi and Patna. The Delhi-Siliguri journey could take around 6 hours 45 minutes. The existing rail journey can take around 20 to 24 hours.
