OSSC CGL Eligibility 2026: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced 1576 vacancies for the Group B and Group C posts through the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination. Interested candidates can submit their applications between December 19, 2025 and January 21, 2026. Applicants must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria prescribed in the advertisement. This covers aspects like age limit, qualification, nationality, and other relevant areas. The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the OSSC CGL Eligibility 2026 in the official notification. It includes posts such as Assistant CT & GST Officer, Sub-divisional Financial Service and Savings Officer, Inspector of Supplies, Junior Correctional Officer (JCO), Estate Supervisor, Block Social Security Officer (BSSO), etc. Candidates should read the advertisement to check if they meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible, the candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline. They should fall within the age group of 21-42 years when applying for the post. All the qualified candidates will be required to produce relevant documents linked to their age, qualification, and identity at the time of certificate verification.

OSSC CGL Age Limit: What is Maximum & Minimum Age Limit?

Age limit plays an important role in the OSSC CGL Eligibility. The age of the applicants will be calculated as of January 1, 2025. Applicants must not have been born earlier than 2nd January 1983 and not later than 1st January 2004 to be eligible. The minimum age of the individuals shall be 21 years at the time of application. OSSC CGL Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification is the next criterion of the OSSC CGL eligibility. A candidate should be a graduate from a recognised University to be eligible for the post. Below is the OSSC CGL educational qualification for reference purposes.

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

  • Possess computer knowledge such as proficiency in the use of the Computer, Internet, e-mail, Word Processing, data analysis and presentation.

A candidate should be a citizen of India when applying for the OSSC CGL vacancy.

OSSC CGL Eligibility: Miscellaneous

Along with age & qualification, candidates must fulfil other eligibility conditions as well when applying for the post. Some of the important OSSC CGL Eligibility criteria are given below:

  • An aspirant should be of good character.

  • An aspirant must be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity.

  • If married, the candidate must not have more than one spouse living.

  • Candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently and:

i. Should have passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or

ii. Should have passed HSC Examination or equivalent exam with Odia as the Medium of examination in a non-language subject, or

iii. Should have passed in Odia as a language subject in the final exam of Class VII or above from a school or educational institution recognised by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt., or

iv. Should have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department, Govt. of Odisha.

Documents Required to Prove OSSC CGL Eligibility

Candidates should have all the documents related to their age, qualification, nationality, identity, etc. They will have to produce those certificates at the time of verification. Failing to submit any such documents will lead to the cancellation of their candidature. The list of documents required to prove OSSC CGL Eligibility:

  • HSC Certificate & Mark Sheet or equivalent in support of Date of Birth

  • +2/equivalent certificate & mark sheet.

  • +3 Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent Bachelor's Degree Certificate & Mark sheets.

  • Caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.

  • A valid SEBC certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable

  • Permanent disability certificate, if applicable
