HPPSC Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before applying, candidates must check that they meet the conditions set by HPPSC for the Medical Officer (General Wing) Job Trainee post. An application from an ineligible candidate can be rejected at any stage, and the fee is not refunded in most cases. The main points are given below.

Educational Qualification

• The post needs a recognised medical degree, and candidates must have finished their internship.

• MBBS or an equivalent medical degree from a recognised university or institute

• Compulsory internship completed

• Valid medical registration certificate (this is one of the documents to be uploaded with the form)

Age Limit

• The age is counted from a fixed date, so candidates should check their date of birth against it.

• Age is calculated as on 1 January 2026

• 5 years' upper age relaxation for eligible SC, ST, OBC, WFF and PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh, as per government rules
