After comparing institutions in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, as per the placement and ranking data, Mumbai wins the competition in providing higher median salaries for fresh MBA graduates compared to the other cities. 

While Delhi NCR offers multiple management institutions with rankings, the premium institutes of Mumbai such as IIM Mumbai offered INR 33 LPA and SPJIMR INR 31.50 LPA during 2025-26 placement cycle. Also IIT Bombay offered ₹26.73 LPA a much better pay packages as compared to those from Delhi NCR. Only IIFT managed to pay over ₹25 LPA median salary during the placement.
