5. Wait for Round 2 if needed- If you are not selected in Round 1 or are waiting for the next allotment, check the Round 2 result on 02 July 2026.

Important Update on AEDP Courses in Odisha Colleges

The Higher Education Department has also shared a very important update regarding AEDP courses. In some Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the sanctioned strength of AEDP subjects has been reduced. In some other cases, AEDP subjects have been converted into Non-AEDP subjects. Because of this, students are advised to carefully review the subjects they selected in their CAF.

What should students do if their AEDP subject becomes Non-AEDP?

If a previously selected AEDP subject has been converted into a Non-AEDP subject then the  applicant should:

  1. Select the same subject as Major-I

  2. Choose two Minor subjects

  3. Complete these changes within the prescribed CAF editing timeline

What happens if a student does not edit the CAF?

If a student had selected an AEDP subject earlier and that subject was later converted into a Non-AEDP subject students who are affected by AEDP subject changes should update their forms carefully before the last date but if the student does not edit the CAF then:

  • The earlier Major-II option of AEDP will be treated as the Single Major subject

  • The Minor subjects will be allotted during the admission counselling process

  • This allotment will depend on merit and seat availability
