Professor Shivaraj Motegaonkar, the owner of RCC Coaching Institute, Latur, was booked in an FIR in the case of NEET‑UG 2026 paper leak, ANI reported on 18 May 2026. He is being kept as a key accused in the CBI probe, which is being conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The ANI report says that Prof Shivaraj Motegaonkar is the owner of RCC Coaching Institute at Latur in Maharashtra and it is believed that the prof has been associated with the alleged leakage of NEET‑UG 2026 question paper.

The CBI has booked him on its FIR against the murder case and is probing the connection between the institutional and the coaching centre levels.

Who is the New Accused in the NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Case?

NEET‑UG is the largest medical entrance exam in India and if any paper is leaked or if there is any malpractice, it will impact the fairness of the test for more than 20 lakh test takers.

The arrest of the owners of coaching centres and the registration of FIRs indicate that roles associated with coaching centres in national exams will be subjected to increased scrutiny and may result in even better monitoring and security requirements in the upcoming cycles.

NEET‑UG and such other national exams should be given special attention by the students preparing for these exams as the coaching institute you are attending should strictly adhere to the instructions given by the NTA and not give any “guaranteed question” or “sure paper” guarantee.

Any involvement in paper-leak networks or unverified “question leaks” may lead to disqualification, legal action, as well as to damage of future academic and career prospects.
