The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that a fraudulent notification regarding changes in the exam pattern of NEET Re-Test 2026 has circulated on social media sites. According to the Fact-checking Department of the Press Information Bureau, the notification is entirely fictitious and not published by any NTA authority.

It was alleged that the exam pattern of NEET (UG) 2026 re-test will be amended. But it needs to be understood that currently, no such decision regarding any change in exam pattern exists in the re-test examination.

The notification is one of the many fake notifications that have been spreading on social platforms. NTA had even earlier dismissed rumors of leaks of the NEET question paper as false and warned students against racketeers exploiting their fears to scam money.

Official Source for NEET Updates

NTA continues to be the only agency authorized to issue any updates in connection with NEET (UG), such as time tables, admit cards, and result notifications. Any official notification is bound to be shared only on the official NTA website. The students must not fall prey to any rumour mill on social networking sites.

NEET Re-Test 2026

The NEET UG re-test for 2026 has been announced for the date of Sunday, June 21, 2026, in lieu of the original test that was to be conducted on May 3, 2026, but was cancelled in view of paper leakage and irregularities. The Union Education Minister has declared that there will be no errors in the process of the re-test and timely declaration of results.
