Mohan Babu University Sign MoU for Industry Ready Skill Development in AI, Data Science

Mohan Babu University, Tirupati, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PhysicsWallah, an edtech company to prepare students for the future academics, and prepare them with industry-oriented learning, practical training and career preparation in AI, emerging technology and digital fields.

Students will be given the opportunity to upgrade their technical skills and develop practical skills along with their regular academic studies. The opportunity has at its core to provide students hands-on learning experience, industry exposure, projects, exposure to contemporary tools and technologies and guidance from experts.

Students will also have access to industry-aligned learning pathways in Data Analytics and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Full Stack Development and Digital Marketing.

MoU was signed at the MBU campus in Tirupati in the presence of Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Chancellor, Mohan Babu University, and Alakh Pandey, Co-Founder, PhysicsWallah, along with senior university leadership, faculty members and students.

Making Students Future Career Ready

The focus of the initiative is to make the students future ready, where employers are looking for graduates who have strong academic background and also have the practical skills and technological proficiency to work in the industry. The collaboration aims to connect classroom learning with practical workplace requirements by giving students opportunities to apply their knowledge through projects and industry-oriented activities.

Two-Mentor Model For Students

Students will also receive structured preparation experience in soft skills, aptitude, domain-specific knowledge, role-specific skills and interview readiness. A key feature of the initiative is the two-teacher mentorship model, through which industry experts will provide practical exposure and workplace context, and MBU faculty mentors will support students throughout their academic and skill-development journey.

Vinay Maheshwari, Trustee, MBU, said that continuous career preparation and two-mentor model will combine industry perspective with academic guidance and highlighted its importance. He said, “Employability is not built in the final semester. It is built steadily, when learning, practice and guidance come together. Through the two-teacher model with PW Skills, industry practitioners and our own faculty mentors will work side by side with students across three semesters, alongside their academic journey.”

MBU’s Academic and Global Ecosystem

MBU is NAAC A+ accredited and has received a QS I-GAUGE Diamond rating and the programme will be spread across three semesters, letting students build their skills and capabilities along with the regular academic curriculum. The partnership builds on MBU’s broader emphasis on connecting education with industry, emerging technologies and global academic opportunities.

The university has over 108 programmes in engineering and computing, management, commerce, liberal arts and sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, health sciences, agriculture and nursing courses. Its technology-oriented academic ecosystem includes programmes in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Cloud Computing and DevOps.

Mohan Babu University has also expanded its international academic presence through Joint Degree Programme collaboration with Penn State University and RWTH Aachen University to provide international exposure and technology oriented education.
