Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2026: The admission process for entry-level classes in all Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas for DoE will begin today, March 2, 2026. Information regarding the admissions and number of seats available for entry-level classes will be displayed at the gate/ outside each of the Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas. 

It must be noted that only children residing in Delhi will be eligible to apply for the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admissions. Priority will be given for admission as follows

• Children residing in the vicinity of 1 KM of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya and children residing within 3 KM of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya who have no Sarvodaya Vidyalaya within 1 KM of their residence. 
• Children residing in the vicinity of 3 KM of the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, other than those mentioned in the above category. 
• Children residing beyond 3 KM but in such cases concerned HoS will take an undertaking from the parents regarding the safe transportation of the child. 

Parents and guardians must also note that if a Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is not available even within 3 km of the residence of any child, then they may apply for admission in the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya nearest to his/her residence.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2026 - Age Limit to Apply

The age limit for admissions to entry-level classes is as follows

• Nursery (Balvatika-1) — 3+ years to 4 Years as on 31-03-2026 (child must be born between 01-04-2022 and 31-03-2023). 
• Class KG — 4+ years to 5 Years as on 31-03-2026 (child must be born between 01-04-2021 to 31-03-2022). 
• Class-I — 5+ years to 6 Years as on 31-03-2026 (child must be born between 01-04-2020 and 31-03-2021). 

An age relaxation of up to 30 days will be granted at the level of Heads of Schools in the maximum and minimum age for Classes Nursery (Balvatika-1)/KG/Class-I. Additional age relaxation is to be provided to specially-abled children as well.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Applications 2026

According to the notification issued, the application forms for admissions to entry-level classes will be available from the concerned Sarvodaya Vidyalayas from March 2 to 16, 2026. The applications will be available from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the morning for general shift schools and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM for evening shift schools. The filled Application Form along with required documents can be dropped in the Drop Boxes available in the school as per the schedule mentioned.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission Selection

The selection of candidates for admission will be done by drawing of lots to be held. The lottery process will be done on March 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM for the general shift school and 3:00 PM for the evening shift schools in the presence of SMC members of the schools and parents of the applicants. 

The list of children selected through the lottery will be displayed on the School Notice Board on March 23, 2026, at 11 AM for general shift schools and at 3 PM for evening shift schools. Admissions based on selected candidates will be conducted from March 24, 2026, until April 2, 2026. In case of vacancies left, the children placed on the waiting list will be admitted from April 4 to 7, 2026.
