UP Headmaster Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the official notification for UP Headmaster Recruitment 2026 on October 23, 2026. Through this recruitment a total of 1,172 Headmaster vacancies would be filled up in non-government aided secondary schools across the state. Eligible candidates can apply online through the commission official website at upessc.up.gov.in. The application process requires a One Time Registration (OTR) process.

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university or institution. 

• In addition they must also have a B.Ed. or B.P.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognised course.

2. Teaching Experience

• Candidates must have at least four years of teaching experience as a lecturer or assistant teacher in Classes 9 to 12 at a government-recognised institution.

• Must have four years of experience as a headmaster in a junior high school. 

3. Age Limit ( As of July 1, 2026)

• The minimum age to apply is 30 years.

•  The maximum age to apply is 62 years.
