SpaceX is set for another Starlink launch, sending 28 of its Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low Earth orbit. The launch is scheduled for Thursday at 6:47 am EDT from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The mission, called Starlink 10-20, will use a Falcon 9 rocket and marks the 69th orbital launch from Florida this year. The event will go live at 3:17 pm in the US. This mission, called Starlink 10-20 , will be the 10th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster, B1085.
Donald Trump signed an executive order called “enabling competition in the commercial space industry” to increase private rocket launches. The order aims to accelerate the industry's growth by 2030 for national security.
About 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the booster will attempt a landing on the droneship 'Just Read the Instructions'. A successful landing would be the 132nd time this particular vessel has recovered a booster. This booster has previously supported notable missions, including NASA's Crew-9, Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost Mission 1, and Fram2.

How do the SpaceX Launches Falcon 9 Impact Global Internet Connectivity?
Once in space, these satellites will provide internet service to different parts of the world. Starlink is a satellite internet constellation owned by SpaceX. According to astrophysicist Dr. Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the number of Starlink satellites has been growing.
Imagine getting high-speed internet even in the most remote corners of the globe, that's the power of satellite internet through Starlink. Previous launch on July 26th, 2025 landed safely on the droneship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ in the Pacific Ocean, adding to SpaceX's impressive record of 481 booster landings.
Why is the Starlink so Significant?
These aren't just cool rocket launches but they are expanding a global network that promises to deliver various services like the ones mentioned below:
- Broadband internet to underserved areas and enhance existing services.
- For rural communities and those in remote locations, it is offering a reliable alternative where traditional internet might be slow or unavailable.
- The ongoing development of satellite constellations by companies like SpaceX is a key tech trend that's truly transforming our world.

What's Next for SpaceX?
SpaceX isn't slowing down! They're already preparing for their third and final astronaut mission of the year, dubbed Crew-11, which is set to launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida very soon. The crew members arrived in the Sunshine State, ready for their pre-launch rehearsals. This continued focus on human spaceflight alongside their commercial satellite deployments highlights SpaceX's ambition to make space travel and access more routine than ever before. It's an exciting time for aerospace innovation!
