The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Roorkee, the organising body for the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE, Advanced 2026, has officially announced the timeline for the upcoming May 17 examination. Candidates who have successfully registered for the popular national-level and fiercely competitive engineering exam will be able to download the official admit cards starting from May 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM onwards.
The download access for the admit card of the JEE Advanced 2026 will remain activated until the afternoon of the main examination day, i.e., May 17, 2026. JEE Advanced 2026 candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with their valid government-approved Photo ID to the exam centre.
JEE Advanced 2026: What is the Exam Pattern and Post-Exam Schedule?
The JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted in two mandatory shifts on Sunday, May 17. Paper 1 is to be conducted in the morning shift from 9 AM to 12 Noon, which will be followed by the second afternoon shift from 14:30 to 17:30. Once the exam is concluded successfully, the organising institute will maintain a swift evaluation window, which will be as follows:-
- A copy of the candidate’s response sheet will be made available from May 21, 2026.
- A provisional answer key will be released on May 25, along with a feedback window which will be open until May 26.
- The final results of JEE Advanced 2026 will be declared on June 1, 2026.
- For those students who will be appearing for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026, the registration will start from June 1, 2026, with the exam set to be conducted on June 4, 2026.
