CSAB 2026: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has now published the unified timetable of the CSAB 2026 Special Round and the DASA UG 2026 counselling loops. Being handled by the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, for this educational year, these unique admission cycles are conducted to ensure that all empty seats in the prestigious NIT+ System (comprising NITs, IIITs, IIEST, SPAs, and certain GFTIs) are filled at the end of all the normal JoSAA rounds. The two separate counselling tracks will be executed on a common synchronized calendar beginning from July 28, 2026. This novel process ensures a highly effective system of registering, uploading documents, and filling up options for the foreign students and national engineering aspirants.

In order to become eligible to take part in this final round of spot allocation, all candidates irrespective of their participation or registration for previous JoSAA counselling rounds should sign up using a new set of profile details through the central portal available at csab.nic.in. The deadline for finalizing the choices on the two different streams will come to an end on August 5, thus making the way clear for the announcement of seat allocation results on August 6, 2026.

CSAB Special Rounds & DASA UG 2026 Timeline

Registration is mandatory on the centralized server dashboard of CSAB. Previous records pertaining to any choices made by the students via the JoSAA will be treated as invalid for further rounds.
