Jharkhand CM List: There are 81 seats in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The number of Ministers in the state, as per the rule can't exceed 15% of the Assembly's strength. Therefore, Jharkhand State can have a maximum of 12 ministers including the Chief Minister.

Soren is the working president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a prominent political party in the region. Representing the Barhait constituency in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly since 2014, he has also served as the MLA for Dumka twice, from 2009 to 2014 and 2019 to 2020.

Hemant Soren Takes the Oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand
Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in a grand ceremony held in Ranchi. The event saw the presence of prominent opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and other notable figures like Sharad Pawar, Arvind Kejriwal, and Akhilesh Yadav. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy.

This marked the fourth term for the 49-year-old Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader. Soren retained his Barhait constituency in the recent elections, securing a decisive win against BJP candidate Gamliyel Hembrom by 39,791 votes.
The JMM-led alliance achieved a significant victory, claiming 56 out of 81 assembly seats, while the BJP-led NDA managed 24.
The city of Ranchi experienced heightened security and traffic diversions during the ceremony, with schools closed for the day to accommodate the event.
Posters and decorations adorned the city, celebrating the historic occasion. Ahead of the swearing-in, Soren and senior officials reviewed the arrangements at the Morabadi Ground.
Although Soren took the oath of office alone, the cabinet expansion is expected after a confidence vote in the assembly, as stated by Congress state in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir. Expressing gratitude, Soren remarked on the significance of the event and the participation of several key leaders, symbolizing unity and support.
